Dundee wins 'Institution of the Year' prize at Herald Higher Education awards

The University of Dundee has been named the 'Higher Education Institution of the Year' at the at the fifth Herald Higher Education Awards in Glasgow.
The Higher Education Institution of the Year award recognises teaching, research and business performance, with the judges looking for evidence of creative and innovative projects which have enhanced its reputation.
As well as taking home the biggest prize of the night, Dundee also claimed the 'Marketing Campaign of Year' award as well as the 'Outstanding Contribution from a University Student', won by Rawad Qaq, and 'Outstanding Contribution of a Staff Member', which went to Professor Kurt Mills.
The University of Dundee is a top 30 UK university and has a world class reputation for teaching and research. It is in the top 10 universities in the UK for student satisfaction and also scored Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework.
