University Academy 92 (UA92) is a truly distinctive Higher Education institution based at a fabulous new campus in Old Trafford, Manchester. UA92 has been founded by Lancaster University and the Manchester United Class of 92, in partnership with industry leaders such as Microsoft and KPMG.
At UA92 we are pioneering a modern approach to the university experience. Our programmes combine academic discipline, work experience and a unique personal development journey designed to prepare students for life. Our first cohort, starting in September 2019, will study Undergraduate degree programmes with specialisms in Business, Media and Sport. Undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Psychology will be introduced in 2020.
UA92 students will graduate with a degree awarded by our prestigious founding partner, Lancaster University. When you study with us, you will begin a unique education that combines the academic curiosity, reputation and rigour of Lancaster with the drive, experience and connections of the Class of 92. This combination makes your degree exceptional.
At UA92, our degrees don’t just give you work experience or internships, they also deliver personal and professional development through a series of cross disciplinary, compulsory modules. These are called the Target Talent Curriculum (TTC). In these modules you will work in multidisciplinary teams to simulate the work environment. This is an entirely unique opportunity; our aim is for you to graduate ready to take on the world. Your academic subjects will be taught separately to the TTC modules. In all your studies, you will be taught by academics who are passionate about teaching and preparing students for the world of work.
Unlike most universities, UA92 has a timetable that gives you more control over your time. Our classes are taught intensively in blocks, one module at a time. Your timetable, therefore is simple. At the start of each academic year you will find out whether you are a morning student or an afternoon student. In fact, it is just like work with set hours every day. Just think of the possibilities for part- time work, placements, sports, or to focus on your studies with no disruption. Our innovative programmes also have a shorter year than a more traditional university. You will have more time over the summer break for work placements, travelling or going home to visit family.
Our Industry Partners, such as Microsoft and KPMG, are working with our academics to design our programmes. Many of our partners will be based on campus, giving you the opportunity to be able to interact with them directly. They will deliver the work experiences, job shadowing, internships and projects included in your programme. These will give you a real insight to a range of companies and industries. Having experience of different work environments will give you opportunities to develop resilience and a broad understanding of the work environment, so that you can adapt and perform in whatever career you pursue.
My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested.
